SmFeN Magnets
SmFeN magnets, also known as Sm2Fe17N3, have been anticipated as a potential choice for the next generation of permanent magnet materials and have attracted a great deal of attention since their discovery by Michael Coey in 1990.SmFeN has many advantages, including: Curie temperatures up to 476 degrees Celsius, much higher than conventional sintered neodymium magnets. SmFeN magnets can be magnetically tuned without the addition of cobalt or other heavy rare earth elements (HREE). Excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance.
